FAQ
Does the plugin add anything to my front end?
No CSS framework, no JavaScript library, no shortcodes. It writes your variables and an optional small base CSS layer straight into Bricks' or Etch's own storage, in their own format. Your page is built with Bricks or Etch exactly as before.
What happens if I deactivate or delete the plugin?
Nothing on your site changes. Everything the plugin wrote lives in Bricks' or Etch's own storage, not the plugin's — deactivating or deleting it only removes the panel and the import/export tools, never what was already applied.
Does it need an API key for the AI features?
No. The AI is your own — Claude, or any other MCP client you already use — connected to your site the same way it connects to any other MCP server. See Your AI, over MCP.
Can I still edit things by hand in the builder?
Yes, and the plugin respects it: anything you change by hand in Bricks or Etch is detected and never silently overwritten by a later apply. The review step always shows you what it would touch.
Does a personality or a past version overwrite my colors?
Never on its own. Personalities only touch type scale, radius and shadow; loading a past version brings its full settings into the panel as one edit you review first, same as any other change.
Is it really free?
Yes, and it stays free. It is not a trial or a limited tier of a paid product — see Requirements.
I found the old fancyframework.com base CSS pasted into my site — what happens to it?
If it's still exactly as the generator gave it to you, applying removes it. If you changed it, the plugin leaves it alone and warns you it's still there. See Base CSS → The old web CSS.
